Icenet Break-in Net
Garden ponds in winter would be a nice playground and ice-skating rink in themselves. But the danger of breaking in at the ice is too great. For children, unsupervised play on frozen waters in general is a great danger.
Additional protection against breaking in at the ice
Our Icenet is a robust armour net. This serves as a safety option net against breaking in on frozen garden ponds. The net is placed directly on the water surface before the first frost. Due to its specific weight, it floats on the water and is completely frozen by the ice when it forms (sandwich). The net in the ice thus acts as a armour mesh.
The Icenet breaking down net is designed to prevent sudden break in of children in garden ponds.
Additional safety and protection
Since the Icenet is frozen similar to a sandwich – in the middle of the ice sheet, the forces of breaking in are distributed over the surrounding ice sheet. The child or person does not break through completely and thus has the opportunity to leave the fragile ice surface as quickly as possible.
Note
The Icenet was specially designed as a supporting aid. The net cannot be walked on under any circumstances on the water or on thin layers of ice, nor does it serve to make the ice more load-bearing. The rules and precautions to be observed on frozen waters still apply. The Icenet collapse net has been developed solely as an additional safety factor for garden pond owners.
